Fee: $10
The practice of “life hacking,” as an organizational strategy, involves taking large tasks and challenges, such as writing a dissertation or thesis, or studying for your comps, and breaking those tasks down into smaller and more manageable parts.
In this workshop you will be introduced to some of the foundational concepts informing the practice of “getting things done” and the ways in which you can apply this do–it–yourself thinking to your research plan in order to increase productivity. You will learn how to provide active context to, and realistically track, the demands of your work through practical, hands–on exercises.
Additionally, we will overview a selection of free, online personal information management systems as well as offline tools and strategies that you might use to help effectively manage and aggregate the complex tasks associated with researching, writing, and completing your dissertation or thesis.
